What Have You Learned Through Hands-on Media Production...
I've learned how to storyboard shots to audio for film making. I have also learned how to edit films in Adobe Premiere 2020. I have also learned and put into practice design elements of film making for instance, graphic match, J Cuts, and L Cuts. I have also learned how to build a portfolio website from scratch using Wix!
Describe your role in a collaborative process...
I take a dynamic role in the collaborative process. I push my ideas forward while making sure my peer producers are heard and understood. I excel at integrating the group's thoughts and ideas into concrete plans of action, and I strengthen the team's ability to connect with each other and our topic.
What impact might the group project have on this topic...
Our project will surely bring more light to how COVID-19 is impacting students and incarcerated people. In addition to increasing awareness, our project will also inspire change because of our call to action section. Instead of simply illuminating the problems that our society currently faces, we also provide actions that or viewers can take to make a positive change in their community.
What does New Media Arts mean to you...
This internship served to be the actualization of my power. It is a testament to myself that even a doting eighteen year old can invoke change in their community. New Media Arts reassures me that even as a single part of hundreds of millions, my voice can still be heard, felt, and understood. This internship empowers me to no end and I love NMA!
